Conductor

Mezzo-Soprano Harp Piano Flute Fiddle Cello

Back when I played flute in the Musique Municipale de Meyrin, there was an announcement that they were offering a scholarship for anyone wanting to take conducting lessons. I was the only person who put my hand up and was soon spending my Saturday mornings at the Conservatoire de Lausanne studying with Pascal Favre.

Fast-forward many years and I was asked to conduct the choir of the International Labour Organisation. I’d forgotten almost everything. I made a lot up. The choir was very forgiving. I read books, studied, practiced in front of the mirror and finally moved on to become the conductor of the United Nations Choir.

We are a very busy choir, performing at least 20 times a year. We have sung in Victoria Hall, for the RTS radio, for United Nations events, fundraisers etc.

In addition to the United Nations Choir, I conduct the festival choirs in both Tunisia and Myanmar.
